Oklahoma grown and inspired by 90's post-grunge, punk, nu metal, and wrestling, For The Wolf is here to show you a good time! For The Wolf is an Alternative/Punk band from Tulsa lead by female vocals with a Classic Emo sound! Their experience and love of a variety of music, brings an exciting energy to the stage that you won't want to miss out on.
"Floating Through the Veins and the Power of the Wolf", their first EP was just released on April 20th, 2011. The first track, "Sleazin' Our Way to the Top", has been played on 104.5 The Edges local show, Homegroan, and has become a fan favorite live. They've been playing shows together since June 2010, from house shows to local venues and even an outdoor benefit show! For The Wolf is also scheduled to record their first full length album, "Trapper/Keeper", in the studio this August. Release date is to be announced.
The band first formed February 2010 in Nowata, Ok, where the four grew up together. With her ever-changing hair and edgy, melodic vocal styling, Kristy Emory's playful demeanor and punk attitude can definitely keep up with the boys! James Thomas, Native American cousin of Ben Kindel of: Barf Makeout and Bring Down The Hammer, can not only incite riots of women by his glowing, tan body and boyish good looks, but his driving bass lines create a rockin' and solid foundation of sound. James and Kristy were also in a group previously and have opened up for: Radial Angel, Disciple, and Pillar. The identical twins, Coby and Noah Emory, have been hardcore since '84 and in a previous project they opened up for a handful of popular bands including: So Many Dynamos and Ethan Durelle. Coby (guitar) and Noah (drums) are the most electrifying twins in stage entertainment! And bring almost 15 years of experience to the table. The dynamic that For The Wolf has together is definitely fun to watch!
Currently, For The Wolf is looking for shows in and around the Tulsa area to promote their EP and upcoming full length album, "Trapper/Keeper". Their goal is to tour and create music that everyone can relate to and enjoy. Optimistic about what the future holds and the music just keeps getting better. So...WHATCHA' GONNA DO, BROTHER, WHEN FOR THE WOLF RUNS WILD ON YOU??!!
